  Jesus did not answer the Pharisee according to the Pharisee's attitude. Instead he answered the Pharisee as the Pharisee deserved, so as to give the Pharisee a chance to get the right idea about God's values.

  can someone with dementia get disfellowshipped?.

  One elder in our cong had dementia. He was in a home. But they kept him on as an elder.

  He was married by had a bad reputation for rubbing himself against the sisters. I remember him blocking a gate so I had to squeeze past his fat stomach.

  Sounded like corgies without the 'c'.

  i'm looking for wts quotations that contrast with ii timothy 3:15-16 whereby they downplay scripture.. here is one from way back..

  "...people cannot see the divine plan in studying the bible by itself...if he then lays them [scripture studies] aside and ignores them and goes to the bible alone, though he has understood his bible for ten years, our experience shows that within two years he goes into darkness.

  on the other hand, if he had merely read the scripture studies with their references, and had not read a page of the bible, as such, he would be in the light at the end of the two years, because he would have the light of the scriptures," (watchtower, sept. 15, 1910, p. 298).

  I couldn't help smiling - so the 1st President of the Watchtower Society pioneered fading. Love it. A man ahead of his time.

  James - wow.

  Mine is tame by comparison but I like mango and passionfruit.

  Elderly sister in nursing home loves apple juice. I wonder how many in my ex-cong know that or even bother visiting, let alone take her something nice to drink. They never told her I was df'd - so she still speaks to me when I visit. It means I can take her her favorite drink.

  She sleeps mostly now, so she may not have much longer to live. She has had a difficult time these last few days. How many of that congregation know?

  doesn`t the god of the bible condemn him/her self ,incriminate him/her self by the writings as god`s word?.

  any human charged with what god has done in the bible would be labelled a monster and either executed or spent a lifetime in prison..

  I guess it depends whether you are an innocent victim having your feet stuck into concrete boots and about to be thrown in at the deep end. Then some big 'monster' (aka Almighty God) comes along and saves you.

  Ok he thrashes the mob and you feel sorry for the mob.

  What do you want him to do? Redefine right and wrong to match your values? When you make trees, people universes and stuff like that, you can make your own rules. Meantime we have to live by his or not - you have a choice.

  The Father of Nihilism, Neitzche fell in love with his horse. Neitz coined the phrase 'God is dead' some change that into God of the dead. But exactly what that has to do with Jesus or that picture I don't know.
